Tanzo ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it when you use our platform at tanzo.in.

Full name, email address, and profile picture (via Google or Facebook login)
Mobile phone number (for OTP-based login)
Delivery addresses including name, phone, and pincode
Custom design data, uploaded images, and product configurations
Reviews and ratings you submit

b) Information collected automatically

Device type, browser, IP address, and operating system
Pages visited, clicks, and session duration
Referral URLs and search terms
Session tokens and authentication cookies

c) Information from third parties

Basic profile data (name, email, photo) from Google OAuth or Facebook Login
Payment status and transaction references from our payment processor (Cashfree)

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account
To process and fulfill your orders
To send OTPs and transactional SMS/emails about your order
To store and retrieve your custom product designs
To personalize product recommendations and offers
To detect fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
To improve our platform using aggregated analytics
To comply with legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.

3. Account Terms

You may sign in using Google, Facebook, or your mobile phone number. By using a third-party login, you authorize us to receive profile information from that provider as permitted by their privacy policies.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
You may have multiple sign-in methods (e.g. Google and Phone) linked to the same Tanzo account.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. Accounts created with false information may be suspended.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse our platform.

4. Payment Information

All payment transactions are processed by Cashfree Payments, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Tanzo does not store your card number, CVV, or UPI credentials. We only retain the payment status, transaction reference ID, and order amount for record-keeping and dispute resolution.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and browser storage for the following purposes:

Authentication cookies — to keep you logged in securely across sessions
Session cookies — to maintain your cart and design state during a visit
Analytics cookies — via Vercel Analytics to understand usage patterns (no personally identifiable data is stored)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features (such as staying logged in) may not work correctly.

6. Data Sharing

We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

Logistics partners — your name, address, and phone number are shared with our shipping carriers (e.g. BlueDart, DTDC) to fulfill delivery
Payment processors — order amount and reference data with Cashfree
Cloud infrastructure — your data is stored on servers hosted by our cloud providers under data processing agreements
Legal obligations — if required by law, court order, or government authority

7. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active
Order data is retained for 7 years to comply with Indian tax regulations (GST)
Custom design data and uploaded images are retained until you delete them or your account
OTPs are automatically deleted after use or expiry (10 minutes)
Upon account deletion, your personal data is anonymised or removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete information from your account settings
Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated personal data
Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
Withdraw consent — disconnect a linked social login (Google, Facebook) at any time

9. Children's Privacy

Tanzo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure session management, and access controls. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to log out after using shared devices.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our platform. The "Effective date" at the top of this page always reflects the latest revision. Continued use of Tanzo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
